eagleyard CONTINUES TO GROW

Pressemitteilung

Berlin/Germany, 23rd June 2017: eagleyard Photonics GmbH is expanding its technology platform with additional equipment for both, flexible tailoring and automated manufacturing of semiconductor laser diodes.

In continuation of its R&D and production real estate expansion of 2016, eagleyard kicked-off another investment program of additional EUR 2’0 million.
This investment not only features the further advancement of eagleyard’s technology platform, but also increases its production capabilities in order to address customers’ requests more flexible and promptly.

Comprising particularly:
• Wire bonding equipment
• Soldering machines
• Lens alignment equipment
• SM and MM Fiber coupling equipment

Consequently two major aspects of market requirements can be addressed even better in the future:

1. a technology platform in combination with the in-house access to all necessary manufacturing processes enables eagleyard supplying customized laser diodes even faster and thus helping customers meeting their demanding schedules of time critical projects
2. furthermore, eagleyard can accelerate their production ramp ups and delivers its customer base a competitive edge in order to help them meeting their own targets for product introduction

Both tasks will be successfully tackled by broadening of eagleyard`s technology access accompanied by the ongoing implementation of further automation.

Mr. Jörg Muchametow (Founder and CEO) explains: „In view of our strategic decision to integrate more technologies, we are delighted to serve the requirements of our customers even better. We will continue, what we started 15 years ago, namely to sustainably serve the market with our high power laser diode portfolio.“

If you would like to learn more about eagleyard or its laser diode portfolio and how we can support your application please come and visit us at Laser World of Photonics in Munich from 26 – 29 June. You will find us in Hall B2 at booth #330.

About eagleyard:

eagleyard Photonics’ core competence is the development, production and sale of innovative high-power laser diodes based on GaAs (Gallium Arsenide). Its portfolio contains laser diodes with wavelengths ranging from 633 nm to 1120 nm. These laser diodes are addressing a variety of applications such as aerospace and defense, spectroscopy, medical instrumentation, test & measurement and material analysis. The Portfolio is split in five product families: Single Mode Laser Diodes, Single Frequency Laser Diodes, Multimode Laser Diodes, Tapered Amplifiers and Gain Chips. eagleyard is represented worldwide, in particular in Europe, Asia and the United States of America. eagleyard Photonics started as a spin-off from the Ferdinand-Braun Institut (FBH) in 2002. In 2013 Toptica Photonics AG has acquired the majority ownership of Berlin-based eagleyard Photonics GmbH. For more information, please visit our website at www.eagleyard.com
