QYB Quantum Yield Berlin GmbH, BerlinCompany, Laser Technology, Lighting Technology, Optical Analytics

We as QYB Quantum Yield Berlin GmbH are a spin-off company of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin. We are focused on the development, manufacturing and distribution of systems for the quantum yield analysis of semiconductors.

When developing opto-electronic devices, such as LEDs or solar cells, it is essential to improve their luminescence quantum efficiency. Our first product - the LuQY Pro - is an easy-to-use, non-invasive and versatile system to swiftly quantify absolute luminescence photon fluxes of thin film absorbers, layer stacks or complete devices under various operating conditions. The included software directly calculates device relevant metrics of the samples, allowing to assess the performance potential of a layer stack already after the first process steps of device fabrication. This not only saves time and material but also allows to assign loss mechanisms throughout a device with unparalleled accuracy.
