Your chance to influence the EU Chips Act - Call for evidence for an impact assessment

The EU Chips Act is currently being reviewed by the EU institutions. The aim is to ensure the Act remains fit for purpose in light of changing market, technological and geopolitical realities. As part of this process, the European Commission is holding an online consultation to seek stakeholders’ views on the adequacy of the current Chips Act and on potential improvements and new avenues for action.

Additionally, the EC launched a call for evidence to define the scope of a possible Chips Act revision. The call for evidence describes the problem to be tackled and objectives to be met, explains why EU action is needed, outlines policy options, and presents the main features of the consultation strategy.

We kindly invite you to share your views on the EU Chips Act by completing the survey and by contributing to the call for evidence.

By participating, you will help shape the EU Chips Act 2.0 with the interests of the photonics community in mind. This is your opportunity to influence EU policy and support the European Commission in refining its strategy for the semiconductor sector.

We kindly ask you to share your expert feedback by 28 November 2025
